Jaskirt Dhaliwal has a drive and passion for documentary photography and communicating stories through visual art. Specialising in portraiture Dhaliwal is fascinated about what drives individuals and groups of people to behave and live the way they do.

This intrigue in human nature has led to many successful commissions, exhibitions and awards, such as Dhaliwal’s award winning Women's Football body of work. Her most recent body of work, Everyday Olympian continues to explore Dhaliwal's avid interest in sports, local community and the ordinary. Through this body of work she continues to champion the tapestry of talent that lies hidden in the region. The success of this work keeps growing, having won the recent Magnum showcase sports competition, chosen for the Foto8 Summershow 2012 and published in The Sunday Times Magazine.

Dhaliwal has exhibited her work at the UN in New York, Collectives Encounter at the International Format Festival 2011, Hereford Photography Festival, Wembley Stadium and Manchester's People Museum amongst other venues.
